Large-scale ecommerce modernization delivers a scalable Shopify foundation for 67,000+ products, advanced B2B capabilities, a new Cabinet Configurator, and future operational growth
Tuesday, July 7, 2026 â Chicago, IL and Jackson, WI â Space Dinosaurs today announced the successful migration of Custom Service Hardware (CSH), a leading supplier of cabinet hardware, woodworking products, storage solutions, and functional hardware, from BigCommerce to Shopify. The project modernized the company’s ecommerce infrastructure while establishing a scalable foundation designed to support continued growth across both B2B and direct-to-consumer channels.
The initiative involved a comprehensive platform migration encompassing more than 67,000 products, customer records, complex product data structures, advanced shipping requirements, ERP integration via Certipro for Sage ERP, and B2B commerce workflows. Building on Shopify’s modern commerce architecture, the new platform provides greater operational flexibility, improved product discovery, and a stronger foundation for future integrations and digital growth initiatives.
The migration included end-to-end services from Space Dinosaurs spanning experience design, platform architecture, data migration, frontend implementation, backend migration tooling, SEO preservation, systems integration planning, quality assurance, and launch support.
A major new feature launched with the site is CSH’s Cabinet Configurator, a guided shopping experience that helps customers build out full cabinet lines for kitchen projects. Customers can select the cabinet modules they need, configure color options, finished ends, hinges, and accessories, and assemble a complete cabinet look through a more structured and customer-friendly buying flow.

A major component of the project included a comprehensive Experience Design initiative. Space Dinosaurs developed updated information architecture, user experience strategy, customer journeys, wireframes, and interface designs to simplify navigation across one of the industry’s largest specialty hardware catalogs. The resulting storefront provides customers with a more intuitive shopping experience while making it easier to discover products, compare options, and complete purchases.

The migration also established a structured data foundation to support ongoing ERP connectivity, advanced merchandising initiatives, expanded B2B functionality, and continued ecommerce optimization efforts.
Space Dinosaurs is also continuing work with CSH on future digital commerce experiences, including a 3D configurator for Invisidoor products.
By transitioning to Shopify, Custom Service Hardware gained access to a more agile commerce platform capable of supporting faster updates, simplified operations, and greater scalability across its growing product catalog and customer base.
