Veteran-owned technology company joins filmmakers and cultural leaders for a celebration of courageous, purpose-driven storytelling

CULVER CITY, CA., Sep 10, 2026 — VetClaims.ai, one of America’s fastest tech-enabled companies is helping former service members prepare stronger, evidence-backed VA disability claims, served as a top sponsor of the 2026 Los Angeles Tribune International Film Festival, held Aug. 14–16 at the Culver Theater in Culver City.

Members of the VetClaims.ai leadership team, including actor/comedian Gerard Michaels and Tejano Hip Hop artist ZEUS. El Mero Necio attended the festival’s red-carpet festivities, joining filmmakers, actors, producers, entrepreneurs and community leaders from around the world. Los Angeles-based model Emily Perez was also seen on the red carpet alongside VetClaims.ai founder and CEO Lukas Simianer.

The three-day festival celebrated international filmmaking and stories centered on resilience, courage, peace, empowerment and human dignity. VetClaims.ai’s sponsorship reflected the company’s broader commitment to elevating voices that are too often overlooked—particularly those of America’s veterans.

“Veterans carry stories of courage, sacrifice and resilience that deserve to be heard,” said Simianer. “Supporting a festival built around meaningful storytelling was a natural fit for our mission. We were honored to stand alongside creators who are using film to open minds, build understanding and inspire change.”

Simianer is a Purple Heart recipient and former 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper who founded VetClaims.ai after experiencing firsthand the challenges veterans can face while pursuing the benefits they have earned. The company combines AI-assisted technology with human review to help veterans organize evidence and prepare clear, file-ready VA disability claim packages.

The festival concluded Aug. 16 with an awards celebration honoring films and filmmakers from across the globe. Programming included international screenings, keynote presentations, industry discussions and an all-women leadership panel, reinforcing the festival’s focus on cinema as a platform for connection and social impact.

For VetClaims.ai, its participation represented more than a sponsorship opportunity. It provided a national cultural platform from which to reinforce the importance of advocacy, access and responsible innovation for the veteran community.

“Purposeful storytelling can change the way people understand an issue,” Simianer added. “When veterans’ experiences are seen and understood, it becomes easier to build systems that serve them with the dignity and respect they deserve.”
